Ahead of the flight to Paris for the UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg against PSG, sporting director Sebastian Kehl took questions from the media and shared his thoughts on the scenario and the opposition.

Sebastian Kehl on the approach:
"We need a lot of courage, but also a lot of anticipation, optimism and a certain amount of nerves, which is part and parcel of a Champions League semi-final against PSG. We laid a good foundation last week to keep the Wembley dream alive. To achieve it, we need a really good performance tomorrow."

…what reaching the final would mean for the club:
"It would be a huge step. I think we've caused a sensation in Europe by reaching the semi-finals again after such a long time, the fourth time in the club's history. That's already a big achievement. But the task tomorrow is to take the next step. We're raring to go, we have the hunger. It would give us the chance to do a lot of positive work in many areas. It would put us into the spotlight once again across Europe, it would be a great thing from an economic point of view and it would also be a huge statement for all BVB fans to be back at Wembley, and perhaps write history all over again."

…Paris Saint-Germain:
"They will be determined to win this game at all costs. They also have the confidence that they can get the job done at home. Nevertheless, they'll have a lot of respect for us, which we've earned over the past week. If we keep a tight shape and land jabs, then we'll have our moments. We have to capitalise on them. But Paris have invested hundreds of millions over the past few years to be able to finally achieve their goal of winning the Champions League. That's something they've set out to do. We are prepared for that. The team that has the greatest hunger and is ready to suffer at the right moments will win. We also have to look to create chances from possession and keep jabbing away at them."

…the defence's job against the PSG frontline:
"We did well in the first leg. There will always be phases when you can't shut down PSG's attack. There will also be moments when we'll need luck on our side. But pressing, defending tightly and staying switched on will be our weapons. We have a lot of speed and a lot of confidence. Another thing that makes me feel positive is that the players who played at the weekend are in good shape. We will also be able to make adjustments during the game. Perhaps we'll need to do that if it goes beyond the 90 minutes. We're prepared for different scenarios. It won't be possible to always shut PSG out over 120 minutes. We'll do everything we can and try to use our strengths to our advantage."

…Bundesliga debutant Kjell Wätjen:
"Kjell wrote a great story at the weekend. He played from the start and put in a fantastic performance on his Bundesliga debut. He's in final exams stress, the exam is tomorrow. Then he'll come to Paris with us and will be in the squad. He's earned that. The injured lads will also be there tomorrow and everyone will be supporting the team."
