Zidan and three others players leave BVB
 
[1.02.] Mohamed Zidan and three other Borussia Dortmund players have left the club at the end of the January transfer window. While Zidan agreed to join 1. FSV Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga, Damien Le Tallec returns to his native France to play for second division side FC Nantes. The 21-year-old, whose contract would have run out this summer, came to BVB from Stade Rennes in 2009.

Marc Hornschuh, BVBīs talented defender, has been loaned out to second division FC Ingolstadt until the summer of 2013 to gain some playing experience. "Itīs a new experience for me and a great chance to present myself in the second division," said the Germany U21 international. "I want to settle in quickly in Ingolstadt and get playing experience on this level."

Thomas Eisfeld from Borussia Dortmundīs U19 team has moved to the Premier League to join Arsenal FC, with both clubs agreeing a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee. "For BVB this transfer makes sense for economic reasons and for the 19-year-old midfielder it offers an opportunity to continue his development," said BVB sporting director Michael Zorc. Both clubs agreed to keep the transfer fee undisclosed.
