Sebastian Kehl picked up the freak injury in this scene with Salihamidzic.
The deep cut allowed dirt and grass to enter the knee joint which had to be cleaned by the doctors. BVB doctor Markus Braun, who accompanied Kehl to the hospital, said after the surgery that Kehl will be able to play again in about three or four weeks as long as there is no further inflammation.

Kehl and Braun, who turns 40 on Saturday, took the BVB team bus back to Dortmund today. Kehl will spend a few days in the BG Unfallklinik in Duisburg, where Dr. Braun works as chief physician.
