Last Saturday, a delegation from the Indian Bundesliga Broadcaster STARIndia came all the way from the sub-continent to Dortmund to get an extensive insight into the club.

The Black and Yellow day started with a guided stadium tour through the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK. As it was only a few hours before the first team kicked off against Hertha BSC Berlin, the group had the chance to experience the unique atmosphere in the stadium and also behind the scenes – the calm before the storm.

The tour ended in Borussia Dortmund’s huge Fanshop right beside the stadium, where all the fans wishes are catered for.

Afterwards the Indian delegation was taken to Borussia Dortmund’s training ground, where former professional soccer player and Youth Academy Director Lars Ricken welcomed the group. Apart from taking a tour through the youth development center, our visitors could get a hint of Borussia Dortmund’s youth work while watching the U16’s 6:2 win over Schalke 04. At the end they watched a demonstration of Borussia Dortmund’s famous state of the art machine, the Footbonaut, which was a nice way to finish off this interesting and educational visit to the club’s training ground.

Back at HQ, Borussia Dortmund’s Director of Sales & Marketing, Carsten Cramer welcomed the group and took time for a comprehensive question and answer session. The exchange of information and experiences enabled everyone to learn more about the club’s driving forces.

The highlight of the day was probably the breathtaking atmosphere during the game against the guests from Germany’s Capital, Berlin. Again, Borussia Dortmund’s more than 80,000 fans showed without doubt why the stadium is also called “the epicenter”. Thanks to a great 3:1 win the stadium experience was memorable!
