A Black and Yellow victory parade is today set to roll through Germany's football capital for the first time in five years. Over 200,000 visitors are expected when the 2017 DFB Cup champions present the trophy to their fans from around 15:30 CET.

The Black and Yellow parade will make its way down Oesterholzstraße towards Borsigplatz, where it will arrive at 16:00 CET and complete one and a half laps. Then it will head towards Wallring, past Adlerturm and the Municipal Theatre to the Thier Gallery.

The entire programme will be broadcast at Friedensplatz and Hansaplatz. Glass is completely forbidden along the route. Furthermore, we expressly urge you to forego the use of pyrotechnics, which will also be banned during the victory parade. In view of the bomb attack on the BVB Team Bus on 11 April, Police Chief Michael Stein has warned this may cause panic. So-called "Polish firecrackers" could "provoke undesirable reactions".

In addition, the authorities have used sniffer dogs to search for explosives and want to guarantee "the highest-possible degree of safety". More than 700 security staff will be deployed along the route. Streets may be temporarily closed during the parade.

Borussia Dortmund will broadcast the victory parade online via a live stream. (br)
