With ten friendlies as well as two competitive matches in the DFB Cup and the Supercup, Borussia Dortmund is preparing for the 54th season of the Bundesliga, which commences in the last weekend of August.

A few days after the beginning of training at the start of July, which will still take place without players on international duty and at the European Championships, Borussia Dortmund will face off against fourth division outfit Spvgg Erkenschwick in the first friendly match of the season on Friday 8th July. Kick-off is at 19:00 CET in Stadion am Stimberg. The day after third division side Wuppertaler SV will host BVB. The kick-off for the match in the Stadion am Zoo has not yet been determined.

During the first training camp in the Kitzbuhel alps from the 14th to the 16th July there are two friendlies – on Thursday, 14th July (19:00 CET) at the sports ground in Brixen im Thale as well as on the journey back at TSV 1860 Munich. Kick-off in the Stadion an der Grunwalder Strasse is at 17:00 CET.

As part of the China Tour, Borussia Dortmund will compete with the two Manchester clubs – on the 22nd July (14:00 CET) in Shanghai against Manchester United, and on the 28th July (13:30 CET) in Shenzhen against Manchester City.

The second training camp from the 3rd to the 10th August in Bad Ragaz in Switzerland will involve matches on the 5th August (19:00 CET) in Altach (Austria) against AFC Sunderland from the English Premier League as well as on the 9th August (18:45 CET) in St. Gallen against Europa-League Quarterfinalists Athletic Bilbao from Spain.

On the 13th August, Borussia Dortmund, together with main sponsor Evonik, will officially present the team for the 2016/17 season. Detailed information about the time, place and running of the event will follow in the next few weeks.

One day after the Supercup against Bayern Munich on the 14th August (20:30 CET) at Signal Iduna Park, BVB will play a friendly against second division outfit SV Sandhausen. Kick-off at the Hardtwaldstadion is on Monday 15th August at 18:30 Uhr.

In between the DFB Cup (first round in Trier) and the start of the Bundesliga, there in one more friendly on the cards for BVB – on the 21st or 22nd of August (depending on the DFB Cup match), the German runners-up will play against third division side Hallescher FC and will present themselves to their numerous fans in Sachsen-Anhalt.
