It was overcast and drizzling when the Borussia Dortmund team arrived in Bad Ragaz on Tuesday. For the fourth year in a row, BVB are preparing for the new season in the canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

The Black n Yellows travelled by plane from Dortmund to Altenrhein where Christian Schulz, the team’s bus driver, picked them up for the drive to the hotel in Bad Ragaz. With the exception of Jakub Blaszczykowski and Marco Reus, who both spent the first session jogging by themselves, as well as Ilkay Gündogan who worked out in the gym, all players got out on the training pitch, with Nuri Sahin following an individual training programme.

After some strength and stabilisation exercises, the team started practicing with the ball. The opening session in Switzerland lasted 90 minutes plus stoppage time. There will be two training sessions on Wednesday.

“The pitch is in great shape,” said Jürgen Klopp, adding, “We like it here, and the weather is supposed to get better as well.”
