On Thursday evening, Borussia Dortmund invited around 100 people who depend on Dortmund-based charities Gast-Haus Dortmund or the Dortmunder Tafel to lunch at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK.

Borussia Dortmund are deeply rooted in the city, the people and the region. Back in the day, Founder Franz Jacobi knew: "The quality of a football club is reflected in how it fulfils its social responsibilities." In order to meet this social responsibility collectively, BVB have been cooperating for a long time with charities such as the Gast-Haus Dortmund and the Dortmunder Tafel. The two initiatives are central and important points of contact for needy and disadvantaged people in Dortmund.

This year, BVB have regularly invited people who are dependent on these two organisations in their daily lives to the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK for lunch. To round of the year in the right way, just under 100 people were once again able to enjoy a pre-Christmas lunch in the hospitality area of the stadium yesterday.

The campaign was also supported on-site by employees of Borussia Dortmund, who spent several hours serving food and presented all of the guests with both BVB Christmas scarves and Father-Christmas-shaped chocolates.

In 2023, BVB were able to offer more than 500 people a good meal in the most beautiful stadium in the world – and thus not only contribute to a well-functioning society and more participation in the city. At the same time, the club is also acting as a role model for more sustainable use of food.

These activities will continue with both organisations next year.
