Borussia Dortmund beat the Belgian first division team and Europa League qualifier Standard Liege by 3-0 (1-0) in the final game of their training camp in Marbella.

The BVB goals in the Estadio Municipal de Marbella in front of approximately 4000 spectators were scored by the 18 year olds Christian Pulisic in the 15.minute and Felix Passlack in the 55.minute. Raphael Guerreiro also hit the net in the 73.minute to make it 3-0. This means the Portuguese made a very successful comeback.

BVB were missing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who starts his first game on Saturday in the African Nations Cup 2017 for Gabon and also Ousmane Dembélé (muscle problems near his hip), Marco Reus (slight muscular problems), Sven Bender (bruised foot), Mario Götze (blocked spinal chord), Nuri Sahin (catching upon training), Sebastian Rode (injured, cannot be put under pressure), Roman Bürki (individual training) and Neven Subotic, who is due to return to team taining within ten days. Raphael Guerreiro was back in the squad after being out injured for two months and he came on for the last 30 minutes.

Just as in the convincing 4-1 win over PSV Eindhoven, Borussia Dortmund was very much in control right from the start and they played with real wit. After just ten minutes a Sokratis header hit the crossbar after a Pulisic cross. However the Greek international had to be taken off after 25 minutes, as he had obviously bruised his ankle.

The first goal came after Liege mounted their best attack. Weidenfeller was positioned just right and reacted strongly. Piszczek played a lovely ball to Pulisic in a half right position in the penalty box and the US-lad thoughtfully lobbed the ball in "Aubameyang fashion" into the opponent's goal to make it 1-0 for BVB (15.). After half an hour Pulisic diverted a Schmelzer cross into the net, however the goal was disallowed due to a very tight offisde decision. Just before half-time Schürrle won the ball on the half-way line, he ran at the goal at a high tempo, however he missed his shot when put under pressure by the opposition.

Raphael Guerreiro clebrates his come-back with a goal

Tuchel substituted nearly all the team at half-time. Only Kagawa and Larsen (and Batra, who had come on just before half-time) remained on the pitch. Ramos had already gone past the opposition goalkeeper just after half-time, however the angle was too tight for him and the Columbian's back pass did not reach any of his team mates. A beautiful individual piece of play led to the 2-0: Passlack left three Belgians standing and scored a good goal form 15 metres. Mor missed the chance to score the third goal from a tight angle (60.). On the other side Bonmann had his work cut out - it wasn't the first time and it wasn't to be the last time in this second half.

Guerreiro pushed the rebound from a hard hit Merino shot over the line to make it 3-0 for BVB in the 73.minute after the Liege goalkeeper could only just block the ball straight on. Hubert prevented the Portuguese international from scoring his second goal with a great save in the last minute.

BVB will play their last friendly match on Tuesday in Paderborn before the season gets going for real again on Saturday week in Bremen. You can also see this game live on "BVB total!".
