Kevin Kampl will be returning to the scene of one his greatest sporting triumphs when BVB take on Wolfsberg tonight. "I won the double in this stadium," said the 24-year-old midfielder in reference to his league and cup success with Red Bull Salzburg in 2014.

"I would say that I only really have good memories of Austria," said Kampl, who is returning to Germany's south-eastern neighbouring country for the first time since making the move to Borussia Dortmund in the winter of 2014/15, before admitting: "We always had a few difficulties when we played away against Wolfsberg. I actually have very vivid memories of the last time I lost against them.

But the midfielder is expecting a different story tonight. "We've already had a good training camp and good pre-season preparations. We are delighted things are finally getting going again and I hope we put in a good performance. We are on the right track. We are constantly improving on the quick switch play that made Dortmund so strong in the past. We are quite well prepared for the match and want to give them as few chances as possible to counter," he said. (br)
