Thomas Tuchel was a happy man after BVB's 5-0 victory over Wolfsberger AC. However, his satisfaction was limited to the second half, with BVB showing "a lack of positional discipline" in the first period.

Marco Reus: "I don't think we put in a good performance in the first period. Our running movements weren't good. It was better in the second half - we made some changes and showed better movement. As for what happened to me in the penalty area in the first half, I was fairly sure the referee had blown for a spot-kick, but unfortunately that was not the case. He told me he thought I had dived and that it was not a clear penalty. But ultimately things ended well for us. We're on the right track at the moment."

Henrik Mkhitaryan: "In the second half we worked really hard and scored five times, things worked out well. Each coach has his own philosophy, and in the second half we effectively implemented what the coach wanted us to do. We tried to organise our approach play a bit differently, to keep the ball for a bit longer and to play in a very attacking way."

Dietmar Kühbauer: "It was not the best atmosphere in the changing room. Dortmund clearly showed that they are a different class tonight. After the second goal we just collapsed. BVB were a few levels above us tonight, we have to accept that. One thing's for sure: Dortmund will play a much better role in the Bundesliga this coming season."

Thomas Tuchel: "The second half was a good reaction to the first. We played at a high tempo, showed a lot of good characteristics in our play, created a lot of chances on goal and ultimately found the net five times. I was satisfied with the second half performance. In the first period, we showed a lack of positional discipline, meaning we couldn't pass our way round the opposition so much. In the second 45 minutes we were more disciplined in the spaces where we wanted to put together link-up play. We strung together quicker passing movements and often played between the lines. Mkhitaryan is a model professional. I'm very happy to have him in my team. It's a great pleasure for me to work with him, to watch him and to see how he uses the talent at his disposal." (fu)
