Thomas Tuchel will have to reveal the line-up for the away game against Hannover 96 at 14.15 at the very latest. Around 15 minutes later the public will know whether Marco Reus can play and if not who will replace him. Until then we can only guess.

Reus has started in seven of the eight games so far and Jonas Hofmann is the best option to replace him in Hannover. The 23-year-old has made six appearances so far of which two were in the starting eleven and he has scored one goal and three assists. “I haven’t made as many starts as I had imagined”, said the ambitious youngster. However, he knows he mustn’t overdo it since he suffered two serious knee injuries last season: “it all takes time until I’m ready to play in the three day rhythm. I’m nearly there but I’m still not 100% percent.”

Today could be the first time in the season that Jonas Hofmann appears in the starting eleven for BVB in the Bundesliga. “We want to bring the euphoria and keep it going for as long as possible. We are happy that we have started so well but we also know that we have to stay on our game and work hard.”

Hofmann knows that BVB face a difficult task today. “We have to stay on the accelerator for 90 minutes”, said the young man. However, there is no doubt that “we’re playing there to get the three points.”
