Borussia Dortmund secured their ninth competitive victory under Thomas Tuchel by beating Hannover 4-2 and have now achieved the best-ever start to a season by any club in the history of the Bundesliga after winning all four matches, scoring 15 and conceding three.

Dominant: The statistics speak for themselves (BVB had 17 shots to their opponent's five, 66% possession and a 54% tackle win rate). However, Hannover did manage to inflict some damage on the few occasions they ventured forward.

Goals, goals, goals: It was the highest-scoring game this season, with six goals scored in a match for the first time in the 2015/16 campaign.

Winning run: BVB have now won all nine of their competitive matches this season. The club has never experienced such a winning run before.

Comeback kings: In European competition, Borussia came from behind to beat Odds BK in both the home and away legs. However, the win in Hanover was their first Bundesliga comeback since they beat Mainz 4-2 on 13 February 2015.

Star striker: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang grabbed his seventh Bundesliga brace today, and has scored at least one goal in each of his last six Bundesliga matches stretching back into last season.

Key figure: Henrikh Mkhitaryan had the most shots on goal (five) and has already scored three goals in this Bundesliga campaign, equalling his tally from 28 appearances last season. Across all competitions, he has been involved in 16 goals this season (nine goals, seven assists).

Attacking full-back: Matthias Ginter set up BVB's second and third goals today, and therefore has four scorer points (one goal, three assists) in his three appearances this season - before this season he was only involved in three goals in 84 appearances (two goals, one assist).

Penalties: Jonas Hofmann has now been awarded three penalties in the black and yellow of BVB. He has only played 900 minutes of football for the club (equating to ten full matches).

Cool head: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has converted each of his four Bundesliga penalties, while Hannover's Ron-Robert Zieler is still waiting to make his first penalty save in the league.

Young line-up: Borussia Dortmund's starting eleven had an average age of 25, making it the youngest BVB team for almost two years (on 1 October 2013, the average age of the team that faced Marseille in the Champions League was 24.5).

Efficiency: Hannover opened the scoring with their first shot of the match. It was the first time they had taken the lead this season.

Bad luck: Felipe, who was making his first start under Michael Frontzeck, gave away a penalty for BVB's first, then scored an own goal for BVB's third and handled the ball unnecessarily to give away another penalty for BVB's fourth.

Poor start: With only one point on the board after the first four matchdays, Hannover have had their worst start to a season for 13 years. It was also the 400th Bundesliga defeat for the men from Lower Saxony.
