Gonzalo Castro was Borussia's standout performer in the 4-1 victory over VfB Stuttgart thanks to his opening goal, his assist for BVB's second and his general enthusiasm on the pitch. After the match, the midfielder gave an interview.

"Gonzo", you had already scored for BVB in the DFB Cup and in the UEFA Europa League. How did it feel to score your first Bundesliga goal in Black and Yellow in front of the South Stand?
Fantastic. It is an indescribable feeling to score in front of the South Stand.

Describe your goal for us…
I did not really have a great deal to do. The ball sat up perfectly for me. I just had to get my head on it and it went straight in.

Despite your size of 1.72m, you are known for being a very strong header of the ball. Can you remember when you last scored a header?
Oh, that was definitely at least a year ago.

It must have been in April 2014 when you put Bayer 2-1 up in the 2-2 draw against BVB...
Yes, I remember now. I scored against Roman...

Headers are not your only strength; you seem to be able to flick the ball on perfectly...
That is more a case of intuition. You can't do it every time. If I see that a team-mate is unmarked and a flick is the best option, then I'll try to flick the ball on to him.

How much fun is it to play alongside this BVB attack?
With each passing game we are creating more and more clear chances to score. Everyone is benefiting, especially Auba, who is slotting them away. It's a really good feeling to consistently come up with new ideas on the pitch. (fu)
