Borussia Dortmund will also have to do without midfielder Ilkay Gündogan for their home game against Werder Bremen on Saturday (18:30 hrs) in the sold out Signal Iduna Park.

Head Coach Thomas Tuchel said about Gündogan's injury: "we also don't know why the injury is taking so long." The 25 year old suffered bruising to the foot four weeks ago in the match against Bayern Munich (0:0). Tuchel added: "it will take as long as it takes. He doesn't suffer any pain when he runs quickly, even if he is wearing football boots. We hope that he can start back with training again next week."

This means Gündogan will have to be replaced in the matches against Bremen and possibly against Liverpool. Tuchel said: "we can cope with that, but in the long term it will weaken us."

Stankovic comes in for Subotic

After Neven Subotic was ruled out, defender Jon Stankovic from the U23 got promoted to the first team squad. Tuchel: "we will have this position covered 1:1 from now on in training." (br)
