"From the first minute on we played well and gave away little," said BVB 'keeper Roman Bürki after the convincing 3-0 win over VfB Stuttgart. Here are the reactions.

Julian Weigl: "It was important to disrupt Stuttgart's speed in attack at an early stage. We got stuck into the tackles well. When they did get a cross in, we had a lot of players in the box. Thus we were able to always create quick counters and find the spaces. We also saw our attacking moves through well. In terms of the timing of the goals, it was important to get the second shortly before half-time and to add another after the interval. Stuttgart didn't get back into the match. We want to keep putting in the best-possible performance. Every one of us out there on the pitch has the desire. If we keeping winning 3-0, I'll be very satisfied. We also managed to keep a clean sheet again and be compact in defence."

Roman Bürki: "It was a good football match. From the first minute on we played well and gave away little. We tried to deal with situations by playing football and to implement the coach's instructions. We managed this well, kept the ball well in our own ranks. Brilliant that we were able to score three goals. We'll only really be able to appreciate this season after the final match. We want to keep winning every match, we are proud of today's performance and of the victory. A big compliment to the team that we performed so well again."

Matthias Ginter: "We held our own very well at the start. We defended everything that came at us and we countered well. The second goal before the break did us a lot of good. After the half-time break we moved the ball around well and then scored the third; by the end we might well have scored one or two goals more. But we are very satisfied with the result. It is not important who plays but how we play. The coach can rotate without having any concerns. We will keep trying to win all our games in order to go into the DFB Cup final full of courage and self-confidence."

Robin Dutt (Sporting Director of VfB Stuttgart): "We should not dwell on the analysis for long. We need to look forward: Bremen lost today, as did Darmstadt. We need to harness all our strength and look forward. Then straight into next week's duel in Bremen and win." (fu)
