Borussia Dortmund's U23 continue on their successful run and extended their run of unbeaten games to eight matches after a 2-1 (0-0) win in their game in hand against RW Ahlen. Tammo Harder was the match winner in the Rote Erde stadium.

After scoring the winning goal on Friday against Wattenscheid to secure a 2-0 win, Harder got on the score sheet again for the equaliser to make it 1-1 in the 72.minute. Five minutes before the final whistle he was brought down and the referee pointed to the spot. Eberwein scored from the spot to make the final score 2-1.

After half an hour without many incidents the Black Yellows should have taken the lead before half time, but first Eberwein (32.) and then Ducksch (36.) missed clear chances on goal to take the lead after the two strikers had set each other up. Five minutes later Ahlen’s goalkeeper saved brilliantly to prevent what looked like a certain goal by Eberwein.

The half time score was 0-0 and then after 60 minutes it was suddenly 0-1. Marzullo received the ball in a central position and scooped the ball into the net. Just a short while later Bonmann prevented the goal scorer from scoring again.

The game was turned on its head, the guests deserved the 1-0 lead. But then Duksch played the ball to Harder and he put the ball away in the 72.minute to make it 1-1. Stankovic missed a great chance in the 81.minute to make it 2-1, but then Harder was brought down in the opposition penalty area – a clear penalty. Eberwein stayed cool and scored from the spot to make it 2-1 for fourth in the table Borussia Dortmund II.
