It's an unusual scenario for the BVB coach and team, who are able to concentrate solely on training between two Bundesliga matches. In fact, it is the second week in a row that the Black and Yellows' preparation is not disrupted by midweek fixtures.

Thomas Tuchel had already announced his intention to step up the training regime with the DFB Cup final in mind. However, Lukasz Piszczek, who was substituted with an injury in the 3-0 win in Stuttgart, as well as Ilkay Gündogan (slight knee complaint) have been unable to take part.

On Saturday the fixture list sees Borussia Dortmund travel away to play Eintracht Frankfurt. (br)
