Thomas Tuchel has made a decision with regard to his goalkeeper contingent. Roman Weidenfeller, the longest-serving player in the BVB squad, will be given playing time this season too.

"Roman Weidenfeller will play consistently in the DFB Cup, while Roman Bürki will start in the other two competitions," the head coach announced on Sunday.

On Monday (20:45 CET), BVB will line up in Trier with Weidenfeller in goal. The goalkeeper will then move level with 36-year-old Lars Ricken on 434 competitive appearances for the Black and Yellows. Thereafter the duo will trail only Michael Zorc, who made an unreachable tally of 561 appearances for Borussia Dortmund. (br)
