Travel to the stadium: the „A-parking spaces“ all around the Westfalen halls are not available. we advise you to travel to the stadium on public transport!

Situation: both teams have got through to the next round of the DFB Cup. Dortmund won by 3-0 in Trier, Mainz had to go through a penalty shoot-out in Unterhaching after taking the lead 3-1. BVB has won nine of the last ten matches against Mainz.

Home/away: Borussia Dortmund has won eleven of their last 13 games at home and they have not been beaten in 21 of their last competitive fixtures in the Signal Iduna Park. The last home defeat was 0-1 against Bayern Munich on the 4.4.2015. Mainz 05 were eighth in the away table league 2015/16 (six wins, four draws, seven defeats).

Personnel: Reus is not back in training yet and will be missing along with Durm (knee op) and Subotic (chest op). The same applies to Götze (was missing on Monday in Trier because of muscular problems and has only been in full training since Friday) and the Olympics participants Bender and Ginter will also not be in the squad. Mainz have traveled without  Curci (calf tear), Jaira (injury to inside of knee), Latza (groin), Zimling and Berggreen (both cruciate ligament injuries).

Tactics: it looks like both teams will start with a 4-2-3-1 formation. The guests like to press early and are known for their hard running during the game.

Record: 09 has conceded less than one goal on average per game against 05 (17 in 20) and they have never lost when they have scored the first goal (eight wins, four draws). In the first five home matches against Mainz they only managed a draw, however in more recent years BVB has managed to win the last five home games against the team from Rheinhessen. Mainz have yet to win in Dortmund! FSV has not played against any other club as many times without winning (ten games, four draws, six defeats). BVB has only played more home games in the Bundesliga against Uerdingen (13) without losing a match. Mainz has lost to Dortmund three times after taking the lead 1-0; the only other team they have the same record with is Bremen.

The highest win: in February 2005 BVB won by 3-0 through goals from Ebi Smolarek, Jan Koller and Lars Ricken. The Black Yellows had 31 shots on goal - a record for the season in 2004/2005.

Spectators: there will be 300 tickets available at the guest ticket counter on Saturday from 13:00 hrs, half standing and half seating. These tickets had been returned by Mainz at the last minute and cannot be sold to spectators with BVB fan clothing on. 05 will have 4444 fans travelling with them.
