Borussia Dortmund have qualified for the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League as group winners thanks to a goal from Marco Reus, who spoke about the positives and negatives in an interview following the 2-2 draw.

Did you still think you could get something out of this game after falling 2-0 behind?
Yes, we even spoke about it in the changing rooms. We had already had some extremely good opportunities on the counter in the first half, we were just lacking the final one or two passes and didn't see the moves through properly. We also have Roman to thank for keeping us in the game.

Was that goal – with respect to the entire build-up – perhaps the nicest you've scored for BVB?
I don't know, I've already scored a few and have even scored in this stadium before. Basically I'm delighted that I was able to help the team. Other players played a role in that goal too.

What does the Champions League record of 21 group-stage goals mean to you?
It's nice, of course, especially because this is the Champions League, where every opponent is strong. But it goes without saying that we also really need to try to defend better as a team because we have conceded too many goals in our last few games. Ultimately we haven't really been made to suffer for it because we've scored so many at the other end, but we do need to try to defend better.

How difficult will it now be to prepare for Cologne and the Bundesliga?
Not at all. That's not a problem.
