A feeling of hope accommpanies the Borussia Dortmund team when the team departs from the "runway Ruhrgebiet" in the Dortmund district Wickede for their 100. Champions League game in the club's history. The feeling of hope that they will be the first German team (and all in all the third team at the same time) who have made it through to the next UEFA Champions League KO round after suffering a defeat at home in the 1st leg.

It's a very big task facing the team after the 2-3 home defeat six days ago in the Signal Iduna Park. Borussia Dortmund doesn't just have to win away to the Ligue 1 league leaders AS Monaco who are very strong at home, but it also looks like they will have to win with a two goal difference. 2-0, 3-1, 4-3, 5-4 etc. are the results which would mean BVB get through to the next round.

It is totally realistic that they can land such a coup. Only FC Barcelona has scored more goals this season than BVB (exactly one goal more) - Borussia set up a Champions League historial record in the group stages. The four goals they scored in the return leg against Benfica would also be enough in Monaco, so if they play away from home like they did in the 1st leg they would definitely have something to build on.

Sven Bender, who was substituted because of injury against Frankfurt will be in the squad; and of course Marco Reus will also be available. (br)
