Speaking in an interview with Eurosport following the 1-1 draw with Hertha in Berlin, Peter Stöger, Ömer Toprak and André Schürrle all agreed that BVB deserved to win. "We should really have taken the lead," said Toprak. Here we bring you the initial reactions.

Peter Stöger: "The opener was difficult to defend, Hertha did well down the flank. And those balls into the box are always horrible. Selke did well too. We didn't get into the game as much as we wanted in the first half and didn't really get at them. We were much better in the second half, found the little pockets of space and were much more in the game."

Ömer Toprak: "It wasn't a good performance in the first half. But after the break, especially in the last 30 minutes, it was all attack from us. We actually created a few chances and should really have taken the lead ourselves. Based on the second half, we deserved the win."

André Schürrle: "I think that it was probably 60-40 as to whether it was a penalty or not, but you do see them given. It's annoying that we didn't win. We had high hopes for this match. We were a little bit off the boil in the first half. But once we had conceded we woke up, found the spaces, played with more speed and got in behind them. We could've scored a second goal, we certainly created the opportunities. We can build on what happened in the last 30 minutes."

"Satisfied with the point"

Pal Dardai: "We put in a very good first-half performance, everything went according to plan. After taking the lead we should've scored the second goal, we had the chances with our switch-play. But towards the end Dortmund cranked it up and then it gets tough against the world-class players they have. We're satisfied with the point." (djg)
