The Black & Yellows put in a passionate and almost flawless performance. Although Bayern had more shots at goal, only three of their 16 attempts were on target – compared to five of Dortmund's 11. BVB earned the win with their superior running performance.

Negative run over: Borussia Dortmund won a Bundesliga match against FC Bayern for the first time in almost five and a half years (last time in November 2018). It was their first away victory in Munich in almost 10 years (April 2014) and the first clean sheet there since then too.

Away streak continued: The Black & Yellows are unbeaten in 09 away matches in the Bundesliga (five wins, four draws). Borussia last put together such a long undefeated streak back in the 2012/13 season under Jürgen Klopp, when they managed 10 games.

Hard-running: The 122.6 kilometres covered by Edin Terzic's team is a new season record (Bayern ran 116 km).

Super sprinter: Munich native Karim Adeyemi has scored three goals in his last four Bundesliga matches. No player on the pitch sprinted more often than Adeyemi (38 times). And: he reached the highest speed of any BVB player (35.1km/h).

Attacking defenders: Julian Ryerson notched his fourth goal of the season. No defender has scored more often in the Bundesliga. He has found the net in Munich and in Leverkusen, among others. The Norwegian won and contested the most challenges on the pitch (17 of 29) and covered the most ground of any BVB player (11.9 km). Dortmund's defenders have scored 11 times this term – by far the most of any club in the league.

Top provider: Julian Brandt claimed his 11th assist of this Bundesliga season in the 1-0 win and is now in top spot on the assist list alongside Alejandro Grimaldo and Leroy Sane.

Back again: Sébastien Haller was involved in a goal for the first time this Bundesliga season and set up the goal for 2-0.

Record appearance-maker: Mats Hummels made an appearance in a Bundesliga match between FC Bayern and Dortmund for the 29th time (23 of them for BVB); he overtook Michael Zorc and is now the outright "Klassiker record-holder".
