DFB referee Dr. Matthias Jöllenbeck, 37, will oversee the match. The official from Freiburg will be supported on the sidelines by Christof Günsch and Jonas Weickenmeier. Günter Perl will be the video assistant. Jöllenbeck has previously refereed three league games involving BVB: there was a 1-1 draw in Bochum under his leadership in December 2021, a 3-0 win at 1. FC Union Berlin in February 2022 and a 1-1 stalemate at FC Augsburg in December 2023.

Tickets: Last chance for the "Secondary Market"

The home game against Stuttgart is completely sold out. VfB will be supported by 8,000 fans. The "Secondary Market" will be open until 16:00 CET on matchday and will offer a – albeit small – chance of still getting hold of a ticket.

The match can be watched live on TV via Sky. The pre-match coverage will start at 17:30 CET. Sebastian Hellmann will present the programme with Tabea Kemme and Lothar Matthäus as pundits.
