"If you look at it objectively, you have to say that we were definitely lucky on one or two occasions,” admitted Sebastian Kehl after the cup game against Wolfsburg, while Mats Hummels said: “Despite the 2-0 result, it was very close.”

Jürgen Klopp: “We have made it to the final, all is well. With the quality that Wolfsburg have it is normal that’s going to be a close match. The lads have had five matches in a row now playing Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday and for the first time this has taken its toll. They are totally knackered. Wolfsburg always stayed focused and we had our chances on the break, but were unable to finish them off as usually because of a lack of freshness.”

Sebastian Kehl: "If you look at it objectively, you have to say that we were definitely lucky on one or two occasions. Wolfsburg created a lot of chances but for whatever reasons they were unable to score a goal. We have put in a lot of hard work in the last couple of weeks and deserve our place in the final.”

Mats Hummels: “Despite the 2-0 result, it was very close. We were lucky that Wolfsburg didn't find the net, they had really good chances. In all fairness it must be said that Wolfsburg had a lot of bad luck in the two games against us. We are happy that we made it to the final.”

Dieter Hecking: "I'm proud of my team who put in a great display. I even think we were the better team at certain stages of the game. But you could also see the difference. We lacked the clinical touch that Dortmund possessed. We gave the team that dominated Real Madrid and Bayern Munich a good run for their money. I wish Dortmund good luck in the final.”

Naldo: “Dortmund started the first half very well while we were a bit passive. But after 20 minutes we were in the match and created a lot of chances – and that in Dortmund! Borussia had four or five chances, we had a lot more.”
