Nuri Sahin was absolutely amazed by BVB’s performance in the 2-0 win over Arsenal. Acting as a pundit for Sky, he said, “The lads did a great job. Roman had his first touch of the ball after about 20 minutes, and I think this says it all.” BVB coach Jürgen Klopp even hailed his side’s display as “close to perfection.”

Arsène Wenger (Arsenal FC): “Dortmund were the better team. They were better in midfield. It was a deserved win. We had a disappointing performance. For the first goal, we lost the ball 80 metres from our goal and there were enough people to stop the goal.”

Jürgen Klopp (BVB): “We wanted to implement a full pressing game on the pitch and it was close to perfection today. I saw some counter-pressing situations that will live long in the memory. I was pleased with the way we used the space and how determined and aggressive we were. We had pace and we created a lot of chances that were difficult to defend. It must have impressed Arsenal.”
