Mats Hummels is back! The BVB captain, back to fitness after a knee injury and muscle problems, came on as a second-half substitute in the 2-2 draw with Stuttgart. After the game, he did not look for excuses.

Jürgen Klopp: “We would have loved to win the game 2-0. The way we conceded the goals was ridiculous.”

Mats Hummels: “We need more stability in defence. We have already conceded nine goals in five matches which is not just a poor record, it is a very poor record. We need to defend better as a team, and all eleven players have to play their part. If you concede two goals in each game, as has already happened four times this season, it's very hard to win.”

Armin Veh (VfB Stuttgart coach): “When you are up two goals, you should go home as the winner. We played really well. I’m very disappointed with the second goal we conceded. We didn’t allow them too many chances from open play. We had a chance to make it 3-1, instead we conceded the equaliser and could have even lost the game.”
