Borussia Dortmund's loss in London had little sporting significance but it did put a bit of a dampener on the general mood. You could argue that at least it halted a trend!  So rising to the challenge, BVB coach Jürgen Klopp is determined to keep looking on the positive side.

It hasn't been all doom and gloom for Borussia Dortmund so far in November. The performances in the games against Galatasaray (4-1) and Borussia Mönchengladbach (1-0) were outstanding, and at least the first half of the games against Bayern Munich (1-0 half-time, 1-2 final score) and Paderborn (2-0 half-time, 2-2 final score) went well. So far November has brought two wins, one draw and two defeats (against Bayern and the one just now against Arsenal), with the good outweighing the bad.

And yet the current situation is no kid's party. Klopp said, “You just don't get used to losing. We're looking at things with a self-critical eye, but we have to keep focusing our sights back to what lies ahead.”

No team runs around as much as Borussia Dortmund do. And it is only a matter of time before that effort gets rewarded, before the mood turns around, while the reaction of the fans remains, as ever, fantastic. “We've got a great chance to show that nobody can drive a wedge between us and the supporters,” Klopp said before the game against Eintracht Frankfurt, a team likely to be full of confidence following their win against Gladbach. “It's a new game and that means a fresh chance for both sides. We intend to take ours!”
