Jürgen Klopp has confirmed that Mitch Langerak will remain Borussia Dortmund’s starting goalkeeper for the last three games of 2014 against Hertha BSC, Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen. Roman Weidenfeller had earlier been informed about this decision.

“We had a very good talk yesterday. After working very well together for more than six years, nothing else was to be expected,” said Jürgen Klopp on Thursday, adding: “Roman is a fighter, and he has already started to fight. In the new year everything starts from the beginning.” The BVB coach said that it was a “gut decision” to give Langerak the nod over BVB’s regular number one: “Details made the difference in favour of Mitch. He has done a good job so far. If nothing else happens, Mitch will play the last three games.”
