For the first time in the first leg, Hannover 96 scored more than one goal. Borussia Dortmund took advantage of the confusion lasting a couple of minutes after the red card was given and this is what led them to victory.

A guarantee of success: In the second leg, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has already exceeded the number of goals (six) he scored in the whole first leg (five goals). In 2015, nearly half of BVB goals (seven out of 16) have been shot by him. He is thus directly involved in half of the 34 BVB goals scored this season so far (twelve goals, five assists) and is the player with the best statistics in the Bundesliga.

A positive journey: Borussia Dortmund have only lost once in their last seven away games in Hannover and have found the net in each of the last 21 games against Hannover 96, this is the second longest winning series in the history of Bundesliga (From 1991 to 2012, Bayer Leverkusen didn't stay goalless in each of their Werder Bremen clash).

Winning series: Borussia Dortmund are unbeaten in seven games (five wins, two draws) and have already recorded more victories in the second leg compared to the whole first leg (four).

Symbolic victory: Borussia Dortmund have celebrated their 700th victory in the Bundesliga. BVB is only the fifth team to break this record.

A goal at last: Shinji Kagawa scored after 1.229 minutes without goal and for the first time since the Bundesliga match against Freiburg on 13 September.

With the head: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted the 3-1 with his third header since his first Bundesliga match. Indeed, he scored his last header 15 months ago (in january 2014 in Braunschweig).

Double: By scoring the 3-1, Aubamayeng set a little record: he celebrated his 25th Bundesliga goal. Besides, he added a 7th double to his list of accomplishments.

On the bar again: For the 4th time in this season, Marco Reus hit the post or the bar. Only Werder Bremen player Junuzovic exceeds this number.

Double assists: For the first time in this season, Reus made two assists in a single game. The last time he achieved this was on 3 mai 2014 against Hoffenheim.

Favorite stadium: Sebastian Kehl made his professional debut with Hannover 96. He took on his former team for the 8th time in its stadium and he has never lost against them. He has made three draws and secured his 5th victory against them today.

Goal: After 228 minutes without goals in an official game, Borussia Dortmund put a goal on the board, which is the first one since 3 March (Ciro Immobile in a German Cup match against Dresden).

High average age: The starting eleven had an average age of 28,4 and was the oldest team in seven years (march 2008 against Hertha Berlin). In both title-winning 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons, BVB always ranked among the youngest squads in the Bundesliga with an average age between 24 and 25.

Job-Hopper: Since Marcel Schmelzer was injured and Erik Durm was also unavailable, Jürgen Klopp needed a new left defender and selected the versatile Sokrates (he played lately as right defender against Juventus, but he is normally a central defender).

Comeback: Jakub Blaszczykowski played his first Bundesliga match in 14 months. On 25 January 2014, he suffered a serious knee injury in the match against Augsburg. Since then, he had been sent onto the pitch as a game-changer both in Bundesliga and UEFA Champion's League and he could make his start in the German Cup match against Dresden in early May. (br)
