Jürgen Klopp was relieved after his side's 3-2 win over TSG Hoffenheim and lavished praise on match-winner Sebastian Kehl. "Pulling something like that off today was quite something," he declared.

Markus Gisdol: "That beautiful effort by Sebastian Kehl really did us damage. In the last five minutes of normal time two really excellent chances fell our way. If we'd taken the lead at that point, the match would've gone in our favour. We wanted to play a very varied game offensively, and from our point of view the first half was impeccable. In the second half Dortmund came at us with great momentum and unfortunately, we weren't able to ride out that difficult spell after the break and conceded the equaliser. We gave everything we had but it wasn't meant to be. It was extremely close."

Jürgen Klopp: "We were a tad better than the result suggests. It was an extremely intense match. We played well without having clear chances in the final third. In the second half we produced a superb reaction. We put an almost unbearable level of pressure on them and deservedly got the equaliser. And then Sebastian did that. Pulling something like that off today was quite something. I didn't know he was capable of that. It's brilliant that he gets to be the hero of the day. It was a dramatic game, which really swung back and forth. Following the defeat to Bayern and given the short-term absence of Reus and Hummels, the team reacted brilliantly today. Progressing to the semis is good for everyone. Now it's time to lick our wounds and look to the Gladbach match on Saturday." (fu)
