After the 1-3 defeat at Borussia Mönchengladbach Head Coach Jürgen Klopp was not too pleased at the press conference about the early goal they conceded in the 1st minute and the missed chances thereafter.

Jürgen Klopp about...
... the game: “Gladbach deserved to win. The opponent took advantage of most of our mistakes. We had to dictate the game and come up against a team that was extremely good on the counter attack. Whoever concedes goals like that in Gladbach can’t win.”

... the first half: “the way we started the game was about as unfortunate as it could be. But still we did quite a good job after that and we could have equalised between the 1-0 and the 2-0, but then we conceded the 2-0 from a counter attack.”

... the second half: “after the break we repositioned and wanted to be stronger on the wings. We came out very strong and should have scored from two very good chances. Then we conceded the 3-0 from a set-piece that should not have happened in the first place. The problem was that we did not score the second goal. Then the game would have been open again.” (cr)
