The success story of the women of Borussia Dortmund goes on! The Kreisliga champions have beaten BV Viktoria Kirchderne 7-0 (1-0) to extend their perfect record.

In the opening stages, BVB were on top, but sloppy passes in the build-up play consistently gave their guests from Kirchderne time to react. Virginia Glänzer had the first chance of note for BVB after ten minutes, but fluffed her lines. The away side defended as a compact unit, meaning that the 280 spectators at the BVB Evonik Football Academy initially had to be patient and wait for chances.

Coach Sulewski used a stoppage in play due to an injury to tell his team what he wanted in no uncertain terms. And it worked! Just a few moments after his team-talk, Ana Zabell went clean through on goal and powered the ball into the back of the net – 1-0 to Borussia after 32 minutes! From then on, the Black and Yellows continued to put their guests under pressure. Zabell had two quick-fire chances to make it 2-0, but away goalkeeper Krummack was able to make the save on both occasions. Five minutes before the half-time whistle, Annika Herbig had a big chance to double the BVB lead, but fired wide from a short distance, so the home side went into the dressing rooms with a narrow lead at half-time. The lead against struggling Kirchderne was thoroughly deserved, even if Dortmund had not completely wrapped up the game just yet.

Ten minutes after the restart, Kimberly Becker calmly doubled the home side's lead, latching on to a pass from Hannah Goosmann and prodding the ball past the Kirchderne goalkeeper. Just a few seconds later, Höhl made it 3-0 after some delightful link-up play. The Dortmund ladies were now creating far more chances. After a long ball from Carolin Kaul, Zabell increased the lead to 4-0 with 73 minutes on the watch. BVB sent their fans into raptures three minutes later when an excellent ball from Zabell found Billig, who slotted the ball into the far corner with a lovely first-time finish for 5-0! Lea Rogge-Herper also provided a beautiful assist for Kaul on 79 minutes, who was clean through on goal and dutifully made it 6-0. Rogge-Herper was rewarded for her excellent assists in the 81st minute, scoring the last goal of the game to ensure BVB ran out 7-0 winners.

"During the break, I spoke plainly about what we were lacking. In the second half, we showed passion and played football, so the result was well deserved in the end," said Thomas Sulewski, summing up the game.
