Three Borussia players help Germany's U17 side reach European Championship final

The Germany U17 side has reached the final of the European Championships in Bulgaria courtesy of a hard-fought 1-0 semi-final victory over Russia. The man of the match was BVB captain Felix Passlack.

The captain led the way and was an ever-present figure, winning the majority of his challenges and consistently getting the better of left-back Amir Gavrilov. The Dortmund youngster was a constant danger in front of goal and had a good eye for spotting his team-mates, making him an absolute machine in attack! Another good performance came from fellow Borussia Dortmund player Janni Serra, who scored the winner in the 69th minute.

A third Dortmund player, Dzenis Burnic, also helped his country reach the final, where they will face France on Friday (20:00 CET).

Captain Passlack (pictured above) had said in the run-up to the victory over Russia: "Now we want to win the title, that's our dream."
