With two wins, eight goals scored and zero conceded, Thomas Tuchel has made the best start of any BVB manager in the Bundesliga to date. A Borussia Dortmund coach has also never achieved six pre-season friendly wins.

Clean slate: The Black and Yellows have still not conceded a goal after two matches in the Bundesliga. This has only been achieved once before, in the 2001/02 season under Matthias Sammer.

Hungry for goals: Borussia Dortmund have scored eight goals in two games. Only in the 1994/95 season under Ottmar Hitzfeld had Borussia Dortmund scored so many goals in two matches before, when the Black and Yellows scored 10.

A deserved victory: Borussia Dortmund had eighteen shots, whereas their opponents only had three! The Black and Yellows had nine attempts before the break and scored four of their nine shots in the second half.

Deadly from the penalty spot: Marco Reus has converted all of his seven penalties in the Bundesliga so far.

In fine form: Henrikh Mkhitaryan came up with the assist to give Dortmund the lead. He has now been involved in eleven goals from six competitive matches this season (seven goals, four assists).

Threat from the flanks: Right-back Matthias Ginter scored to make it 1-0 and left-back Marcel Schmelzer won the penalty to make it 2-0, making it the third time already that Schmelzer has been involved in a goal in a sixth competitive match.

Opening his account: Matthias Ginter scored his first goal for BVB, after sixty Bundesliga matches without a goal. He scored his last goal on 16th February 2013 for Freiburg against Bremen.

Youthful BVB: Borussia Dortmund’s line-up had an average age of 25.2 years, the youngest average age in the Bundesliga for BVB since October 2013.

Season debut: Neven Subotic came off the bench to make his first appearance this season.
