Borussia Dortmunds‘ Oliver Kirch  transfers to the second league football club SC Paderborn. He is thankful for “three incredible years with many highlights”.

The 33 year old all-rounder transferred from 1. FC Kaiserslautern to BVB in summer 2012 and took part in 24 Bundesliga matches (one goal/two assists) and six UEFA Champions league matches. His performance in the quarter final second leg of the Champions League against eventual champions Real Madrid in spring 2014 (2-0) will not be forgotten.

BVB sporting director Michael Zorc said: “We thank Oliver for his commitment and wish him all the best for his future.”

“I want to give a big thank you to everyone, the fans, all the BVB staff and especially my team mates. I have had three incredible years with many ups and downs. I wouldn't trade the 30 matches I played for BVB for 100 matches with a different club.” Kirch said after his departure.
