“I’m very pleased because we were very diligent and have worked extremely hard in the past two weeks,” said Thomas Tuchel after the 4-1 victory over the Korean champions, speaking not only about the friendly but also about tomorrow morning’s training camp in Dubai which is coming to an end.

“There’s been a good level of energy on a personal level between the players as well,” was Tuchel’s assessment of the training camp. “In matches and training we are developing the attitude that is necessary to be successful in the second half of the season. When you win twice and have two weeks like this, then as a Manager you are very pleased. The only fly in the ointment was Sven Bender and Marcel Schmelzer, who unfortunately were unavailable.” The Manager expects Schmelzer to be back in training on Monday. With an eye on the start of the campaign in a week’s time and the near future, Tuchel said, “We are ready for Saturday. From February it’ll be like the English Premier League. We want to be competitive.” (br)
