One day after overcoming Trier in the DFB Cup, Borussia Dortmund played their tenth and final pre-season friendly. With 14,000 fans watching on, the Black and Yellows dispatched third-tier Hallescher FC 3-0 (2-0) thanks to goals from Pulisic, Ramos und Al Ghaddioui.

Borussia Dortmund began the match in energetic and spirited fashion in front of a sell-out crowd in Halle with Emre Mor and "hanging striker" Christian Pulisic in particular setting the visitors in motion and creating a number of chances to score. The first real opportunity came with only six minutes on the clock when the young American got the better of two opponents but subsequently fired the ball narrowly wide of the far post.

Mor initially tried his luck from distance, before then attempting a solo effort. The midfielder's deflected shot crashed against the crossbar, with Pulisic unable to get enough power behind his header on the follow-up (19).

So it was hardly surprising, then, that those two dovetailed for BVB's opener. Ramos passed to Mor, who in turn found Pulisic. The 17-year-old kept his cool in front of goal and slotted home (23). Shortly before the break the referee awarded a spot-kick for a push by Gjasula, the midfielder using unfair means on Merino following a cross from Park. Ramos hit his penalty low and to the right to make it 2-0 (45).

The 3. Bundesliga side threatened two or three times themselves, with Bürki denying former Mainz striker Sliskovic in the 33rd minute in what was the hosts' best chance of the first period.

After 62 minutes BVB brought off their entire outfield contingent to be replaced by a mixture of U19s and U23s, who were given a run-out for the final 30 minutes. And they soon had reason to celebrate when Mangala set up Al Ghaddioui, the regional league's top scorer duly rounding off the win with a third.

BVB: Bürki – Piszczek (Sauerland, 63), Burnic (Mainka, 63), Merino (Dietz, 63) Park (Scuderi, 63) – Weigl (Karazor, 63), Sahin (Wassey, 63) – Camoglu (Amenyido, 63),  Pulisic (Hober, 63), Ramos (Mangala, 63) – Mor (Al Ghaddioui, 63)
Goals: 1-0 Pulisic (23), 2-0 Ramos (45, pen.), 3-0 Al Ghaddioui (71)
