Mario Götze could be happy with his performance despite the 1-0 defeat in Leipzig. In the first half in particular he played "very well", according to coach Thomas Tuchel. But after the game, the midfielder told sky he had nothing to smile about. Here we bring you the initial reactions.

Mario Götze: "It's a bitter pill to swallow to concede in the last minute. There's nothing to smile about today. We wanted to get three points and we didn't manage that. We allowed them ten shots on goal and did not make anywhere near enough out of our chances. We had eight shots but only one on target. That is not enough."

Marcel Schmelzer: "We knew what was awaiting us here. But we didn't play the ball into and use the spaces that Leipzig gave us. We didn't even manage to get any shots on goal, even though we carved out the chances to do so. And then we went and conceded such a stupid goal right before the end."

Ralf Rangnick (Sporting Director at Rasenballsport Leipzig): "In the second half we deserved the victory. After we scored I had the feeling that the stadium roof might fly off at any moment... It was simply wonderful. For the city, for the team, for the club. Fantastic. BVB had run out of steam from the back a bit. I had the feeling that if any team were going win this game, it would be us. Now we need to continue in the same vein. We have a team that will give us joy time and time again over the course of the season." (fu)
