Borussia Dortmund have overtaken Werder Bremen in the 'All-Time' Football Bundesliga table to return to second position. BVB had briefly been in second place around the end of the 2015/16 season.

With 2236 points from 1665 games, Borussia Dortmund now lead Werder Bremen, who have 2235 points from 1767 games, in the official 'All-Time' table maintained by the DFL. This table takes into account points actually awarded since 1963. Until 1995, only two points were awarded for a win. In the All-Time table kept by kicker sports magazine, games played prior to the scoring system change have been retroactively amended to observe the three point rule. In this table, BVB is in fourth place, behind Bayern Munich, Werder Bremen and Hamburger SV.  (br)
