Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel has a number of personnel concerns to contend with for Friday's home clash with Hertha Berlin (20:30 CET). At least ten players are expected to be unavailable.

As things stand, André Schürrle (medial collateral ligament), Lukasz Piszczek (knee problems), Raphael Guerreiro and Gonzalo Castro (both with muscle fibre tears), Sokratis (strain), Adrian Ramos (muscular problems), Bender (bone marrow oedema), Reus and Subotic (both in fitness training) and Durm (knee operation) will be unavailable.

The club are still sweating on the fitness of Ousmane Dembélé, who picked up an ankle injury on duty with France's U21 squad, and Marc Bartra, who sustained an adductor injury on 20 September.

"They should both be okay to feature tomorrow," explained Thomas Tuchel on Thursday afternoon, before adding wryly: "But we are training again tomorrow, and if the last few days have taught us anything, it's that you cannot take anything for granted."

Whether Bartra will feature remains to be seen, even if he feels fit enough to play. "As things stand he's in the squad," said Tuchel, "but there remains a risk after a long spell out and so few training sessions under his belt." The Spaniard only returned to team training on Wednesday. (br)
