Following the 1-1 draw against Hertha BSC, Sebastian Rode was the first Black and Yellow to field questions from sky. The midfielder spoke of "mixed feelings" and declared, "We can do better!"

Sebastian Rode: "Having fallen behind, we can be happy that we managed to get a draw. But considering that we missed a penalty, there was more in it for us. We had some very, very young players out there. We know that we can do better. We didn't make the right decisions about when to play the right passes. Here and there we were lacking in accuracy too. That's how a first half like that can happen."

Thomas Tuchel: "We needed time to get into the game against an opponent that showed discipline and defensive resilience. We weren't able to finish off our attacks. The equaliser was on the cards for a long time in the second half."

Pal Dardei (Hertha BSC coach): "If you look at how the match went, then the 1-1 draw is a fair result. We deserved the point. It was a real men's game today, with lots of tackles – I like that. It's excellent for us to pick up a point in Dortmund. We defended well, switched the play well and played with discipline. I am satisfied. At the end Stocker was overenthusiastic, thankfully he didn't do Ginter any damage. For Mor the red card will be a learning curve: if he doesn't do anything, then the opponent gets a yellow and he gets a free-kick."

Sebastian Langkamp (Hertha): "I made a bit too much of the incident with Mor. I let the whole atmosphere get to me. I sometimes overreact a tad in the heat of battle. I apologise for that, it shouldn't have been a red card for Mor." (fu)
