Borussia Dortmund will be without Marcel Schmelzer in the coming fortnight. The team captain tore adductor fibres in the draw with Hertha Berlin on Friday evening.

Schmelzer had to be substituted with the injury in the 71st minute, meaning the 28-year-old will miss the upcoming matches against Sporting Lisbon, Ingolstadt and Union Berlin. If the player's recovery progresses well, he could be in contention for the derby with Schalke later this month. (br)
