Borussia Dortmund will be facing another team from the capital in the last 16 of the DFB Cup after Olympic horizontal bar champion Fabian Hambüchen pulled Hertha BSC's name out of the hat in Wednesday evening's draw.

BVB squared off against the "Old Lady" in the Bundesliga earlier this month, sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw. The Black and Yellows' also travelled to Berlin last year en route to the showpiece final, beating Pal Dardai's charges by a 3-0 scoreline, and tonight emerged victorious over another capital club – 1. FC Union Berlin – in the Second Round of the competition thanks to 3-0 penalty shootout victory. The last 16 ties will take place on 7 and 8 February 2017.
