The 33-year-old qualified administration manager Sascha Stegemann will be in charge of his third Bundesliga match involving Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. The Black & Yellows will host Hertha BSC on Matchday 9.

Stegemann is from Niederkassel and is the referee for the eponymous football club in the Middle Rhine Association. The 1.89m-tall referee has been officiating games in the Bundesliga since the 2014/15 season (60 matches to date).

His team on Saturday will include Mike Pickel and Marco Achmüller on the sidelines, while Johann Pfeifer will be the fourth official. The only two previous Bundesliga matches involving BVB that Stegemann has overseen were a 5-2 victory in Hamburg on 5  November 2016 and a 1-1 draw in Augsburg on 13 May 2017, though he took charge of the 2-1 DFB Cup defeat in Munich on 20 December 2017 too.
