Landmark goal: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had more shots than any other player (five) and hit his 100th competitive goal for BVB.

Driving force: Ousmane Dembélé set up more shots (five) than any other player on the pitch and created both of BVB's goals. The Frenchman now has more assists (seven) than any other Black and Yellow this season, while only Leipzig's Forsberg (eight) has more Bundesliga assists.

On the scoresheet: Having found the net in the UEFA Champions League (Matchday 1 in Warsaw), Mario Götze tonight scored his first league goal for Dortmund since rejoining the club (the last came in a 6-1 victory over Greuther Fürth on 13 April 2013). Götze scored 11 of his 12 Bundesliga goals for Bayern in home games, while nine of his last ten strikes for BVB have come on the road (including all of the last seven). Götze's team has never lost when he has scored in the Bundesliga (33 wins, five draws).

First dismissal: Marco Reus was sent off for the first time in 209 Bundesliga matches; he has never previously been dismissed in the DFB Cup, Champions League or Europa League either.

Friends reunited: Roman Weidenfeller, Marcel Schmelzer, Sven Bender, Mario Götze and Marco Reus all started a match together for BVB for the first time since 30 April 2013, when the Black and Yellows faced Real Madrid away in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final, losing 2-0 following a 4-1 win in the first leg.

Vulnerable to headers: Of the 18 goals BVB have conceded this season, five have come from headers.

Unbeaten run: Borussia Dortmund have not lost any of their last seven matches against Hoffenheim, winning three and drawing four.

Draw specialists: The men from Kraichgau have now drawn nine matches this season. Historically, only three teams have exceeded that mark after 15 games – the last being Nürnberg ten years ago (ten draws). (br)
