Alexander Isak took part in his first training session for Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday morning. "It's a pleasure to have him here, and I am glad he has got his first training session under his belt. I'm sure he's feeling much better now than before", said manager Thomas Tuchel, after many TV teams had turned up to observe proceedings.

Isak made a great first impression during his first training match by scoring two goals, and Tuchel made clear afterwards: "He is a very strong centre-forward who also plays a good passing game and gets goals. He can also play with his back to goal. The transfer makes total sense and allows the club to plan with certainty going into the long-term future."

Further good news was forthcoming on Wednesday regarding Marcel Schmelzer, who, after his injury suffered in Bremen, was able to do laps, while Neven Subotic participated fully. (br)
