Borussia Dortmund will be aiming to reach a fifth DFB Cup semi-final in six years when they take on Sportfreunde Lotte on Tuesday evening (20:45 CET). Here we bring you the match facts.

Semi-final: Borussia Dortmund are looking to reach the last four of the DFB Cup for the fifth time since 2012 and the 14th time in total. They have only failed to make the semi-final once in the last six years, suffering a 1-0 quarter-final defeat in Munich on 27 February 2013.

Third tier: Borussia Dortmund's last defeat to a third-tier side came on 27 October 2010, when they lost 4-2 on penalties at Offenbacher Kickers. Since then they have beaten Sandhausen (3-0, 2011), Holstein Kiel (4-0, 2012), FC Saarbrücken (2-0, 2013), Stuttgarter Kickers (4-1, 2014) and Chemitzer FC (2-0, 2015), scoring 15 goals and conceding one in the process.

Away run: Borussia Dortmund have won every single one of their previous 13 away games in the DFB Cup. The last defeat was by a 1-0 scoreline in Munich on 27 February 2013.

Suspended: Sokratis received his marching orders in the quarter-final at home to Hertha BSC and will be suspended for the trip to Lotte.
