The BVB players were highly satisfied following their fifth away triumph of the season. Swiss shot-stopper Roman Bürki, who was the first to speak to sky, declared: "We showed that we're back again."

Roman Bürki: "It feels good to have returned to winning ways. It was a difficult match. We showed that we're back again. We fought until the end. Even after falling behind, we didn't let our heads go down. I'm happy that we've now moved up to third place."

Thomas Tuchel: "I'm very satisfied that we've back into third. And I'm very satisfied with the manner in which we did it. We very much deserved to win and we put in a fantastic away performance. We shot ourselves in the foot midway through the match and pretty much scored two own goals. But to show a reaction like that afterwards and to dominate the play the way we did is great. The team deserves a compliment."

Tobias Strobl (Gladbach): "Given how the first period went, we could be happy that the score was 1-1. It could've been 3-0 or 4-0 by that point. We were not clever enough after going 2-1 down. We weren't tough enough in the tackles and Dortmund put on a lot of pressure. All in all it was a deserved victory for BVB." (gh)
